Jan Žižka - plakát

A film based on the true story of one of the greatest military leaders of his time, never-defeated Jan Žižka of Trocnov, whose acts made him a legend. Europe at the end of the 14th century. Everything that Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, built is falling apart. The centuries-old order is shaking in its foundations. The emperor’s first-born son and successor, Wenceslas IV, is as a sovereign too weak to handle these times. Heinrich III von Rosenberg, a prominent Bohemian nobleman, seizes one farmstead of free yeomen after another. But one of them defies him, and his name is Jan Žižka.
